Our Farm
Rivers End Farm forms part of the Klein River wetland ecosystem, a rare and protected natural landscape in the Overberg. Surrounded by fynbos, mountains and water, the farm offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in one of South Africa's most beautiful environments.
Spanning 160 hectares of protected wetland, every corner of this land holds something remarkable — from the chorus of reed warblers at dawn to the mountain silhouettes at golden hour.

How We Live
Sustainability
We operate fully off-grid using renewable energy and borehole water. The farm runs on solar power, and our water comes directly from the land beneath us.

Meet Simba & Rachel
Simba and Rachel need no introduction. They are familiar faces on the farm and are deeply rooted in the Stanford community. During your stay at Rivers End Farm, they will be your hosts, welcoming you to the farm and making sure you feel comfortable and at home.
Simba has spent the past 19 years living and working on the farm and in Stanford, giving him an incredible knowledge and understanding of the area. What he loves most about life on the farm is being surrounded by nature and the peace that comes with the environment.
A true lover of animals and birdlife, Simba also enjoys meeting people from different places and countries and interacting with guests from around the world. He is quite literally a walking book of knowledge — you can ask him almost anything about Stanford, from local weather patterns and birdlife to the surrounding nature and the ever-changing rhythms of the Klein River.
Rachel is an important part of the Rivers End Farm experience, taking care of the details that make guests feel comfortable and at home. From keeping the accommodation and spaces fresh and welcoming to attending to guests' day-to-day needs, she helps ensure that everything is in place for a relaxed stay. Her warm and caring nature means guests can always feel comfortable approaching her whenever they need a helping hand during their time on the farm.
Together, Simba and Rachel bring a genuine sense of warmth, care and local knowledge to Rivers End Farm. Their connection to the farm and the Stanford community gives guests an opportunity to experience the area through the people who know it best — and to discover the simple pleasures of life surrounded by nature, tranquillity and the Klein River.
